While Kim Kardashian gets all of the headlines for the new Hulu show, All’s Fair<\/em>, upon closer look, there’s an HBCU success story from NCAT on the screen as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Durham native Joshua Suiter<\/strong>, a NCAT theater grad<\/strong>, landed an on-screen role in the new legal dramedy. At just 25 years old, he\u2019s turning his HBCU education into a national TV moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy time isn\u2019t coming. I\u2019m here,\u201d Suiter told WFMY News 2<\/a>. \u201cThis isn\u2019t a fluke. This is the new normal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Durham summer camp to NCAT HBCU stage<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Suiter\u2019s journey started when his mom signed him up for a Durham summer theater program called \u201cA Name for Ourselves,\u201d<\/strong> led by director Irving Truitt, who attended North Carolina Central. It was intended to be a way to keep him busy for the summer, but it instead lit a fire inside of him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suiter would eventually walk away from high school sports and lean fully into theater. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
